Why is Keelon not listed as Heisman favorite option? He was 4th this week. And that before the pantsing. He had another 73%, 300 yard day with 4 TDs and no INTs.
I ghink, and I have thought, with the No. Of ranked games as Alabama plays, he’ll eventually start lapping Smith. Could be this. Most certainly will be the case if Alabama wins next week and Keelon plays well (of course the latter must happen for the former to occur)
Alabama should be fine next week, barring some BS injuries or illnesses. I expect Keelon to play well in the game too. I just hope the O-Line doesn’t crap themselves.
It’s really hard for me to predict the AP vote. If it were truly just based on resume and results, it’s Alabama.Texas has a fluky win over tOSU and a struggle win against UT-Knoxville, and everybody else’s resumes are really thin. We’ve played 4 P4 opponents and beaten them by an average of 4 scores. Three of them were conference opponents, two of those were on the road, and one of them is a permanent rival ranked at the time we played them and the other is ranked after we played them.
But the AP ship is slow to turn, so I think it’ll be Texas or maybe Georgia. However I do think we start picking up first-place votes this week and move up some, at least ahead of IU and tOSU. Now, next week, the winner of Bama-UGA is just about guaranteed the #1 spot.
my thoughts exactly. whoever wins in BDS this weekend is in the catbird seat unless they stub their toe after that.
